Stretch two-piece cans are an excellent way to add style and function to any can container. They can be made from a variety of materials, including brass, stainless steel, chrome, and even plastic. The can liners, which are sometimes referred to as "pens," come in several different shapes and sizes, depending on what you're looking for. Two-piece stretchy cans come in various thicknesses, but a typical two-piece "pen" is only about 4.5 inches thick.

Chrome-plated cans have the benefit of matching any can perfectly, and they can be cut to almost any shape you'd like. However, the problem with stretch two-piece cans is that, because they are so popular, many manufacturers cut them to the incorrect standard size. Many manufacturers cut their two-piece cans too short, and the cans don't actually fit well inside the can. Cans with shorter can liners will also be harder to clean, as well as more difficult to resist bursts of hot air as you open and close the can. This means that if you really want a car that fits snugly inside your beverage can, it's best to stick with the traditional brass or stainless steel can liners.

Aesthetically, chrome-plated cans can help brighten up the can, making it easier for people to see whatever's inside. This is especially true if you've got a red or maroon can, which can make your can look almost riotously colorful. On the other hand, the matte finish means that the chrome-plated cans won't be shiny, which can be good if you want to minimize splashes of light. Still, if you're going for that sort of effect, it might be better to go with the can with the shorter liner. If you can find one with the two-piece liner, though, you'll have much fewer problems with glare than with the matte finish.
